Work & Research Experience
Aspiring Doctors Club; HOSA—Future Health Professionals
I participated in these organizations throughout high school. They gave me the opportunity to explore health professions, build teamwork, and strengthen my leadership skills. Through meetings, activities, and competitions, I learned the importance of quality patient care, professionalism, and communication. These experiences also allowed me to connect with peers who share similar goals and further confirmed my commitment to a career in healthcare.
Morehouse school of Medicine: First Look attendee
I engaged in a series of interactive and informative workshops where we learned how to prepare for the MCAT, apply to medical school, and gain insights into interview skills. We also visited anatomy and clinical skills labs and even practiced suturing. Throughout the program, we saw first-hand what MSM had to offer and explored different health career paths while hearing from physicians and current medical students at various levels.
University of Michigan Nuclear Engineering & Radiological Sciences Student Researcher
I spent time with student researchers to explore community values, energy infrastructure, and their impact on society. Our work examined nuclear technology, Small Modular Reactors, and the role of energy infrastructure in communities. This experience strengthened my teamwork, organizational, and presenting skills as we connected real-world applications to questions of sustainability, ethics, and policy. By incorporating both research and personal perspectives, I learned how to communicate topics in different scientific fields.
2025 PFx Student Researcher – AUC Data Science Initiative
Innovating Through the Power of Data, a data-driven, team-based research program led by the AUC Data Science Initiative. Participants engaged in collaborative exploration of real-world issues through data, developed foundational skills in data science, and presented original research aligned with social impact. Through this research, I learned how to analyze data, and use Rstudio.
Skintimacy Body Butter Experience-
This D.I.Y. event gave us the chance to learn about and create our own body butters. It was a fantastic experience where I left with a unique, personalized product and even better memories. This was also a short introduction to my interest in cosmetic chemistry. It was inspiring to see the intersection of fun, skill, and knowledge within the beauty industry.
